About this deal

I had a great time with this book and full recommend it as an essential reads for fans of the show and a perfect coffee table book for me to dive into whenever I desire. The Bookseller reports that the material for the book has been written by creators Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond.

I read the physical book a couple of months ago and never got around to finishing the audiobook until now I am obsessed! Loved the little insights we got into each of the ghosts and I was giggling like an idiot in the staffroom while reading this at work. Ghosts began on the BBC in 2019, from the comedy group known as They Them, but better known as the team assembled for the first five series of Horrible Histories on CBBC, and who followed that by creating the William Shakespeare movie Bill, and the Sky TV fantasy series Yonderland, while individual members were responsible for everything from the Paddington movies to shows such as The Wrong Mans, Wonka, Here We Go, Sex Education and We Are Not Alone. Some of these are in the form of handwritten letters which can be a bit hard to read but overall it's very funny and true to the show's characters. I loved the use of the TV timetable as an insight to what they think the characters would enjoy watching as well as seeing into several of the characters various correspondences.

And if I got that just from the sneak preview, I can only imagine the full read will be everything us fans could want and more. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Even a double page of the Radio Times schedule with each ghost circling what programmes they will watch really sums them up. It is the perfect Christmas gift and I’m looking forward to seeing the fans dressed up in their favourite ‘Ghosts’ costumes for the events.

They have a wealth of comic writing experience across TV, film, stage and radio, including award-winning Paddington Bear features, screenplays for Aardman Studios, The Wrong Man, Tracy Ullman's Show, Quacks and Murder in Successville. Lots of little in-jokes and subtle references for fans, and looks like it will make a great companion piece.
