About this deal

Warlord Trait – Lead From the Front: The warlord has 6″ heroic and re-rolls hits in the first round of combat. These hellgun-toting badasses were released a little ahead of the rest of the new range, as part of the Kill Team Shadowvaults box. They’ve since made their debutas standalone kits. Tempestus Regiment>: The keyword, but Tempestus Scions flavor. You’re only going to benefit from this one if every unit with a variable keyword in the detachment has this.

Converting models or buying components to customise your models can be difficult with Warhammer 40,000, as many armies are designed in ways that make them completely unlike anything available out there on the market. Regimental Doctrine – Brutal Strength: INFANTRY get +1S and +1Ld if they are within 6″ of an officer. VEHICLES can re-roll one of the dice used to determine a random number of shots for each weapon they fire. Death Guard players had to wait months longer than planned, but when the codex did come, it came along with some extra goodies – primarily the long-teased and fundamentally foul Lord of Virulence model, and a Death Guard Combat Patrol starter box – the first of its kind for a Chaos army.Regimental Doctrine – Industrial Efficiency: INFANTRY can rapid-fire at 18″ instead of half range. VEHICLES ignore AP-1. Games Workshop had their big celebration of Warhammer 40,000 over the weekend and revealed not 10th Edition but a new Army Launch Set for the Astra Militarum. Cadia Stands! Some impressive miniatures and news of a new storyline and game mode for Warhammer 40,000. It does sound like things are going to be ramping up very soon for the factions fighting it out in the grimdark future and I could see this almost being the "End Times" affair for what we know as Warhammer 40,000. A good way to set up 10th Edition in spectacular fashion?

This long-awaited update to the Astra Militarum line looks better than we could have expected. The 35th Anniversary Warhammer Day Stream revealed a ton of new multipart kits in this new army box so that players will have plenty of options! Games Workshop released Codex: Chaos Daemonson September 3, 2022, having teased new daemonic saves and abunch of miscellaneous rules for the faction in the run up to the release. Games Workshop has revealed a new army box set for the Imperial Guard featuring a ton of new Cadian miniatures during the Warhammer Day 2022 preview! A recent Rogal Dorn Battle Tank rules preview also revealed the Guard are getting a new Turret Weapon rule that’ll allow its tanks to fire their main, turret-based guns at faraway targets even if there are enemy units fighting them in melee. These powers trend a little weaker than in many armies, but the tradeoff is that access to them is outrageously cheap. You can add an Astropath to your list for the princely sum of 35pts, and while they get a weakened chance of casting smite, they cast these normally. The first clue that the T’au Empire book was incoming came hidden ina Warhammer Community post at the end of October, Games Workshop revealed the T’au codex would release early next year. No specific release date was given, but GWsaid it wouldbe one ofthe “first new codexes coming in 2022”. As for the other choices, at the moment three of them sit ahead of the rest – the Iotan Dragons, the Kappic Eagles, and the Lambdan Lions. We’ll cover why as we go through them. It’s worth saying though that none of these are terrible, and you can have fun with all of them. Although the new 9th edition codexremoves therestrictions on building army lists based on a single Imperial Guard Regimentin favour of creating forces mixed from multiple regiments, these distinctive subfactions remain a vital part of Astra Militarum lore to weave into your army.

The Deathwatch supplementincludes – you’ve guessed it –army-specific datasheets, rules, and bespoke Crusade content for the elite Chamber Militant of the Ordo Xenos, a.k.a. the silver-shouldered badasses of the Deathwatch. Games Workshop announced the new Eldar codex as part of its Las Vegas Open preview stream on February 1, 2022. If standing with your fellow humans against all odds sounds like your cup of recaff, read on for the latest new Astra Militarum models, details of their lore and tactics, Warhammer 40k codex releases, and more. You can bring lore-bore cannons, multi-missile launchers, lascannons and more to the tabletop to utterly terrify the enemy. I love the little dioramas that you get to make when you build artillery crews and these are no different. I like that a lot of them could be used on tank crews as well if you wanted to add some character to some of those bigger vehicles. It’s also worth noting while reviewing the options here that there’s a stratagem to hand out an extra warlord trait to a MILITARUM TEMPESTUS CHARACTER, making all the options go up in value as they’re not really competing with Grand Strategist. This desert world is beset by dust storms at all times, so it’s no wonder their Astra Militarum regiment has such an affinity for staying inside their tanks. Staying still on this hot world means death, which shows itself in their Regimental Doctrine Swift as the Wind. This rule lets your Infantry shoot their non-heavy weapons after moving as well as gets rid of any penalties for Vehicles which move and shoot. Their other rules also focus on movement, especially Vehicle movement, making them an ideal fit for a mobile tank division.
