It seems that the formulation is past its best. Creed always insist they don't reformulate and then give us some garb about variation due to natural ingredients. I don't believe it for a single moment. The truth for me is that those trying this for the first time today will never know or understand what this most definitely was but is not any longer. That is a tragedy because this was utterly sublime and would be worth every penny even at todays prices.

The Irishman in me is offended at this. Never in my life in Ireland have I smelled something like this lol I absolutely love GIT shall I get a new bottle?! I will regardless but I did try a 20K01 and had no body to it sadly. On the other hand, Cool Water Intense used green mandarin orange in the opening. The opening of CW intense is citrusy. The initial blast of citruses is fantastic, and it gives an instant freshness.Davidoff came with the parfum version of CW in 2021. This version of CW is smooth and delicious. And gathered so much love in a short time. It's classy, it's fresh, it's elegant. I really enjoy its cool verbena and green note, as the ambergris as a basenote. Clearly, the winner here is Cool Water. However, it’s a personal preference. You simply can’t just deny the overpowering scent of CW intense and CW Parfum. But they are not worthy enough to beat Cool Water. Projection And Longevity Pure class in a bottle. That's the only words needed to describe this fragrance. Every man should have this in their collection. First few seconds have an alcohol scent which doesn't exist in 2014 (as expected because of maturation and evaporation of top notes over time). Much more citrusy and fresh with a stronger violet leaf and lemon verbena note.

I love this, I will always love this but something changed somewhere along the line. It no longer gets the attention it once provoked out of people. It no longer gives that moment of nirvana. The opening flourish that greeted the nose like a fanfare of trumpets from heaven itself is gone. Moreover, You can’t just simply deny the magical notes of Cool Water Parfum. So it all depends on you. Though Cool Water and Cool Water Parfum gathered a lot of success, there are some controversial uses of notes. The base of Cool Water contains notes like tobacco, musk, e.t.c, which can be offensive for anyone. And the floral middle part is much louder. GIT opens fresher & has kind of a mild sweet verbena nestled right under the Irish ☘️ Spring soapy smell 🤤. The violet helps give the fragrance a more airy feeling like being in a meadow on a sunny day. Iris brings a noticeable sophistication to the composition. Ambergris contains a subtle sweetness along with that Creed dry down. I personally don’t detect Sandalwood thank goodness. Smells nothing like the original Cool Water. It has more of a cool, minty, airy vanilla, similar to Versace Eros mostly, a possible a little like Le Male. It's more subtle and wearable than both, so if you want a less intense (despite the name), work-appropriate and possibly more refined version of Eros, this could be a good find.

As you can see, the performance level of Cool Water Intense is much higher, and on the other hand, Cool Water is cheaper.
