The T7V Studio Monitor features two 3-way fine-tune switches that allow you to boost or cut high/low frequencies, enabling you to tailor the monitor to the room and position it's in. Other Room Kits are also available that have different profiles - Mercury and Pluto are ridged, Neptune is flat, and Saturn is pyramidal. The "clarity" on the HS8's could be anything: hype/ attenuation on the monitors, the room, the fact that they are larger, my ears, they are better?
