Ekko in Arcane played an essential role in driving the storyline forward and playing as a counterpoint to Jinx’s development. Despite losing their parents, Ekko matured into a stable and virtuous adult while Jinx grew into a mad and deranged woman. Ekko’s Childhood One night, on a solo trek into the rubble of a recently demolished laboratory, Ekko made an astonishing find: a shard of blue-green crystal that glittered with magical energy. Every child of Zaun heard tales of hextech, said to power weapons and heroes alike. Such a thing had the potential to change the world, and now he held a broken one. He scrambled to find more pieces, but the crunching footfalls of teched-up enforcers told him he wasn’t the only one looking. Ekko barely escaped, and returned to his home.
Ekko is basically a gifted, unrefined genius that tends to take on more than he can initially handle. He managed to create the Zero-Drive and the Timewinder simply through trial and error, and as a result splits the timeline to fuel his perfectionism [11]
In his youth, Ekko worked for Benzo at his shop and often eavesdropped on his more private conversations even when the man would send him away. This made him privy to certain transactions and secrets that he would sometimes share with his friends: Vi, Mylo, Claggor, and Powder. Jayce can succeed in almost every rune tree, but the Inspiration tree is currently the most popular with First Strike synergizing well with his identity as an early-game focused champion.
