About this deal

One important fact to keep in mind is that the AICOK Portable Espresso Machine exclusively uses coffee pods, specifically Nespresso capsules, not Keurig k-cups – great if you already use Nespresso capsules but not so great if you’re not a fan of them. Of course, if you follow the Makita recommendation, your brew will be rather thin. But if you go with your own preferences, you can make a really nice drink. The operation of this is remarkably simple and reliable. You simply make sure the water tank is full, slide in the correct battery, add either ground coffee or a special pod, push the button on the front of the 18v coffee maker and wait for your freshly brewed coffee. While battery-powered coffee makers offer a lot of convenience for those who are constantly on the road or who just like to enjoy a cup of quality coffee when they travel, they might not be suitable for every circumstance. Often limited by brewing capacity, battery life, and the inability to boil water, there are a number of alternative products you can try should you find yourself frustrated by one of the aforementioned limitations. Moka Pot

Since 1985, Makita has been making products here in the US at a facility located in Georgia. To Sum Things Up The Wacaco Pipa moka is a portable coffee maker that is perfect for those who enjoy a freshly brewed cup of coffee, but don’t want to deal with the hassle of a traditional coffee maker. The Pipamoka is lightweight and compact, making it easy to take with you on the go. It comes with a reusable filter, so there is no need for disposable filters or capsules. The kit comes with the tool itself, a measuring spoon, and the removable Makita coffee cup. As such, you can either drink out of the supplied coffee mug which comes with a lid, or else put in your own coffee mug. However, be warned that cup clearance on this machine is fairly low so large coffee mugs won’t fit under it. Boil dry protection function prevents the machine from burning out - if water empties and temperature inside increases, the sensor will turn off power supply automatically I only bought it for the novelty value .You stilll need to take coffee sugar and milk may as well take a kettle .Good if working where there is no electric it does make a good brew. But 2 brews per battery .Great bit of kit just not very practicalHowever, because the battery doesn’t come with the machine, you’ll have to buy it separately if you don’t use other Makita products with the same battery. If you use one of the batteries on another tool, you can simply slide it into the coffee maker when that tool is not being used. However, they are quite expensive, so keep this in mind when factoring in the overall cost. Because Makita has decades of experience in manufacturing cordless tools, the battery technology is first class, with the 18V LXT battery offering extended battery life and the fastest charge. Battery Performance: How Much Coffee Can The Machine Make Per Charge?

Something else worth mentioning is that when the AICOK is plugged into a wall outlet, you won’t be able to use it to heat water, only charge the battery. And if the battery is completely flat, you might have to use the 12V car charger to initiate the charge; for some reason, the wall outlet power supply won’t charge the device if it’s completely empty. The machine is a bit of an upgrade to AICOK’s travel coffee maker. While the two products are very similar in functionality, AICOK definitely stepped up the design on the portable espresso machine. The first felt like a prototype, while this iteration is way more svelte and feels like a more quality product. But of course, the exact amount depends on your personal preferences. If you want a stronger cup of java, simply add more grounds. Due to being battery-operated, the machine does take a while to heat up the water. But then again, how long does it take you to get to the nearest coffee shop?
